(Above) Frank Johengen (Fjj) driving Glen Duncan's Green GOAT gets a holeshot on the T/A . Glen's 1st time at the strip with the restored T/A & GTO. Leftover silicone dressing on the front tires of the T/A gave us a scare as Glen had the front wheels turned left to exit the drag strip to the return lanes. I had braked earlier and with Glen in front of me in the shutdown lanes withnessed the tires full locked to the left with smoke pouring out from them and the T/A not turning but going straight thru to the grassy shut down area. Glen and I both burst out laughing after he saved the T/A from damage and we stopped to check out the cars. We laughed at what could of been and recounted how big both of our eyes where at the time of Glen's off road trip! Helping trailer the cars to the show, and then taking both 71 455 HO 4 speed GTO and T/A out on the track still ranks near the top of my Automotive experiences! Thanks again for the great time Glen!
